About the Department
Established in 2007-08, the Department of Computer Applications imparts top-notch education that bridges the gap between academia and industry. It executes a well-planned syllabus enriched with beyond-syllabus topics to keep pace with changing technology. A team of experienced, high-profile faculty provides a motivational, disciplined learning path, with a strong emphasis on the technical and logical development of students, supported by industrial trainings, visits, professional trainings, guest lectures and career guidance.
To generate groomed, technically competent and skilled professionals who can meet the current challenges of the modern computing industry.
To provide quality, competency-based education through the necessary infrastructure and to fine-tune the younger generation to encounter the challenges ahead with courage.
PEO1: Practise software engineering principles and standards to develop software meeting customer requirements across verticals.

Message from Head of Department
The department strives for excellence in logical thinking and computing, encouraging innovative projects and quality research across interrelated domains. It is equipped with well-qualified staff and access to more than 300 computing machines with the required software and peripherals. Students are supported to participate in national symposiums and workshops, and the department regularly organises FDPs, guest lectures, seminars and industrial visits. With computing careers spanning AI, software engineering, systems and networks, we continually look beyond our boundaries to give students a fulfilling academic experience.
