About the Department
The Department of Humanities & Basic Sciences forms the foundation of engineering and is responsible for strengthening the very first understanding of the engineering profession. The department concerns Engineering Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, communication skills and human values, in connection with all other engineering programs.
The department provides opportunities for students to access the world of creativity and innovation. Students are highly benefitted by many doctorates and well-experienced, highly qualified faculty who make consistent efforts to improve learning. Besides academics, the department is actively involved in developing students’ personality, communication and soft skills, and imbibing best human and professional values.
From the HoD
The Department of Humanities and Science has sub-departments like Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry and Humanities (English, Universal Human Values). The H&S department plays an important role in teaching basic science courses prescribed by RTU Kota in the first, second and third years of B.Tech. Highly qualified and experienced faculty — all with more than 10 years of teaching experience — are the backbone of this department, having published many research articles in reputed journals, conferences and workshops.
Faculty perform the role of mentor to each section at a ratio of 30:1. From session 2020-21, we started advanced training in aptitude, reasoning, soft skills, communication, general knowledge and project report writing to first-year students with the help of the CDC cell. Our goal is that all students perform well and become good engineers, and our lessons of human values along with basic science help students lead a fruitful life and career.
