Terms of reference: To monitor library activities, procurement of books and frame library rules. The committee ensures the library is augmented with relevant reference books and literary material annually as per the regulatory body’s mandate. It consists of faculty members and students; the librarian acts as Secretary.
Functions
- Identify, plan and process procurement of reference books and other literary materials.
- Procure and consider recommendations of faculty and students.
- Conduct annual verification & audit of the library and report to the Principal.
- Review journals and process subscription payments as per regulatory guidelines.
- Plan development of online learning facilities using open sources, NAD, NPTEL etc.
- Meet at least once a year.

OBC Committee
Main Objectives of OBC Cell
- Educate, enlighten and empower OBC category students and staff to use facilities extended by the Govt. and other agencies for their educational & occupational career.
- Collect data on implementation of policies for admissions and appointments and analyze trends towards fulfilling the required quota.
- Organize Continuing Education Programmes (CEPs) to update knowledge and skills of students, researchers, teaching and non-teaching staff.
Functions of the OBC Cell
- Circulate orders/circulars from the University, Govt. of India and UGC; collect annual course-wise OBC admission data.
- Circulate decisions on appointment and promotion for teaching and non-teaching posts and take follow-up action.
- Coordinate with Govt., UGC and organizations for scholarships/freeships and benefits for OBC & minority students.
- Deal with representations from OBC and minority candidates on admission, scholarships, recruitment and promotion.
- Function as a Grievance Redress Cell for OBC and minority students and staff.
- Maintain a database of OBC and minority candidates for placement services.
- Undertake any other work assigned by the affiliating University to promote higher education among OBC.
- Exclusively look after OBC and minority work; no other work is assigned.

Women Empowerment Cell
Term of reference: To cater to the needs and grievances of women in the institution and sensitize women students & staff about their growth including nutrition, health, hygiene and sanitation.
Mission
- Prevent gender discrimination and sexual harassment, promoting gender equality among all stakeholders.
- Educate and support women to avail state scheme facilities through awareness programmes and expert talks.
- Organize expert sessions to identify problems, adopt a line of action and provide follow-up service.
- Deal with cases of sexual harassment in a time-bound manner and ensure appropriate action.
Action Plan
- Organize talks on health and hygiene by inviting experts including medical doctors.
- Conduct awareness programmes with the National Commission for Women and volunteer societies on legal rights and harassment.
- Educate women on schemes — Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao, Sukanya Yojana, workplace facilities, equal wages and reservation.
Process of Dealing with a Complaint
- Cell members and contacts notified at session start; complaints via e-mail, complaint box or any method, with or without name.
- Complaints investigated confidentially, including statements from the victim and the accused.
- Findings analyzed and appropriate action taken, with the option to lodge a police complaint with the Institution’s support.

Students Mentoring — Nationalism, Communal Harmony & Social Issues
Students are mentored on the Indian Constitution, Fundamental Rights & Duties, respect for the National Anthem and Flag, gender sensitivity, women’s legal rights, communal harmony (‘Sadbhavna Divas’ on 20 August) and Swachhta & environment conservation.
