About EDC
EDC is an initiative by Shri J.P. Agarwal, Chairman, Geetanjali Group, to foster the growth of innovation & entrepreneurship and develop an entrepreneurship culture among the students of GITS. The goal of EDC is to not only create awareness among students about entrepreneurship — through workshops, speaker sessions and similar events — but also to support upcoming entrepreneurs by providing necessary resources like mentors, consultancy, seed fund and networking to enable budding innovators and developers to launch their products and establish successful business enterprises.
Under this program, an annual initiative ‘GITS-E (Entrepreneur) – 2016’, the top management undertakes to fund and promote a project with potential each year.
Direction
To identify opportunities that allow the growth and success of every student through developing their inter-disciplinary learning, and to seek new business opportunities for the growth of society and the nation by providing technological and logistical assistance.
Evolve and spread new knowledge and insights in entrepreneurial theory and practice through exploration, facilitating corporate excellence by creating entrepreneurs. We aim to enhance and promote an entrepreneurial culture within the institutional mechanism, providing motivation, guidance and opportunity to budding new entrepreneurs.
